I love speaking to young writers about my author journey and the writing process! My books are a great jumping off place to teach creative writing, historical fiction, and geography. I lead fun and interactive sessions for kids from elementary to high school age, engaging even the most reluctant readers and writers. Through my work as an instructor at Writopia Lab, I have extensive experience with teaching as well as school visits and presentations. I was recognized by the Scholastic Awards as an "outstanding educator whose dedication, commitment, and guidance are represented by student work selected for national honors." I can't wait to meet your students. Please be in touch if you would like to arrange a Zoom or classroom visit!

Testimonials

My students loved the day you were here. I heard at least one say it was the most fun they had in ELA all year. (And I know they also learned something about creating stories!) They really appreciated the interactive nature of the writing activity.

Bianca Turetsky captivated my 6th grade students during a class visit to discuss The Time Traveling Fashionista series. In displaying a real dress similar to the book covers, she really grabbed their attention. This gifted author also taught a mini writing lesson which actively engaged the students in the writing process. In addition to enticing them to read, Bianca encouraged some budding authors. It was a truly exciting afternoon.

Bianca Turetsky is truly a gifted writer. Her enthusiasm spilled over to the audience during her animated and informative visit. The students were engaged while listening to Bianca and participated in enthusiastic discussions. They were excited about reading and were ready to begin writing their own adventures.
