Welcome to a new space for vintage obsessives or just plain dreamers, like me, who sometimes just sort of wish you could slip into someone's high-heeled Louboutin shoes for a day or two… This is a space where I hope we can share our favorite shops, designers, eras, and advice on where to find the perfect 80's prom dress or how to deal with the guy in your class who won't stop teasing you about your frizzy hair. I want this website to be a community where we can be ourselves even if the way to do it is by dressing up and pretending to be someone else for awhile. I've always kind of felt like I was from a different time, or should be living a more fabulous life, so in a way writing this book was an exercise in wish fulfillment for me. I hope that spirit of hopefulness and wistfulness comes through here as well. My goal is to create a place that's most importantly fun, but also where you can connect to fellow fashionistas – aspiring and actual -- who may be from around the world but probably have a lot more in common than you can even imagine. I'll be updating my blog so you can keep up with my adventures in vintage. Let's celebrate our differences, embrace our similarities, and blaze our own sequined strewn trails. In the words of the great French designer Coco Chanel, "In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different."
